Toyland Bavaria:
The association for its region

International Day of Play: Celebrating the power of play

International Day of Play

International Day of Play:
Celebrating the power of play

Playing is more than just a pastime – it's a fundamental right! On International Play Day, June 11, the German Toy Industry Association (DVSI), together with strong partners, is sending a clear message about the value of play in our society. In collaboration with dedicated stakeholders such as the Nuremberg Toy Fair, the House of Play, the Toy Museum, and other institutions, the DVSI is participating in an alliance that puts play in the spotlight: as a driving force for creativity, social development, and cultural participation. International Play Day raises global awareness of the right to play, enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and brings this message to the forefront of public life. With events, encounters, and opportunities to participate, Nuremberg's city center will be transformed into a playground for all generations. The DVSI sees itself as a key contributor to this initiative, convinced that play connects, empowers, and shapes the future. Join the fun – for a world where play has its place.
